Save Your Diet From Weekends

By Suparna Chakaraborthy

Have you started a new diet programme this week? You might just break it with the upcoming weekend bash. Here are ways in which you can enjoy your weekend party not breaking your fitness rules.

Friday nights are the favorite for party animals because everywhere it is Happy Hour. Alcohol makes you feel hungry as it lowers your blood sugar levels. More alcohol means more hunger. The hunger might not strike at the moment but it will after the trance is over. Thus try and order something which you don't drink regularly. Sipping on your favorite drink might just make you loose your control.

While dining try and include light eaters around. Their company will help you eat light. Sitting next to generous eaters might persuade you to break your diet.

Saturday is dedicated to lazing around in the house and this is the time one has the tendency of grabbing on snacks to meet their boredom. Make yourself some mini meals. Try and avoid stuffing up fridge with food. Mini meals will not let your hunger strike the danger bell and less amount on food in fridge will kill your mindless eating.

Saturday dinner parties is your enemy but it is also inevitable. In the dinner party try and fill your plate with green stuff and be around people who are following the same.

Sunday brunch is a true exhibition of variety of food and a real pain to your diet. The best advice is to eat nutritious and team your lunch with some coffee. Coffee has the ability to kill your hunger.

Though you are on a strict diet, you too deserve a treat. Treat yourself with a low cal Ice Cream sandwich, a cube of dark chocolate and wheat snacks. This will meet all you had craved for in the weekend. This break is important because next morning is Monday and you need to be happy to work well.

This weekend, hold on to your diet with these tricks. But the bottom line of all these measures is self regulation.
