Aloe vera is known for its cooling effect. Take a piece of aloe vera, extract the gel and apply it on the affected area. Once it dries, wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry. Do this 2-3 times a day; it helps in reducing the inflammation and the pain caused due to infection.

Apple cider vinegar is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Take a glass of water, add one tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar and a bit of honey to it and then drink it 2-3 times a day. It helps.

Take a hot water bag, wrap it around with a thin towel and then place it on the infected breast; keep it for about 10 minutes. Remove it and then place a cold compress made using ice pack wrapped in a towel. Keep it for about 5 minutes and then remove it. Do this 4-5 times. It helps reduce the swelling, inflammation and the pain.

The sulphur compound contained in cabbage leaves helps in reducing breast inflammation. Take a few cabbage leaves and place them in the refrigerator for sometime.
