Tips To Reduce Excess Bile Production
Bile is a body fluid excreted by the liver to aid in the digestion of food as well as flushing out the toxins from the body. Bile is produced in the liver and stored in the gall bladder. Bile fluid consists of 80-90% water and the rest 10-20% of bile salts, fats, mucous and inorganic salts. The production and excretion of bile juices entirely depend on the need and functioning of the body.
Bile juices can cause nausea and vomiting if produced in excess. Excess bile production is due to unhealthy food habits, irregular lifestyle, and digestion related problems. When we consume more food, the body cannot digest the food properly. To avoid this problem or to handle the digestion, the body produces bile juices in excess.
YOUR CURE FOR BILE REFLUX: 10 Tips
The increased production of bile causes indigestion, nausea, vomiting and in some cases mood swings and depression. Therefore, it is quite necessary to find remedial measures for excess bile secretion. In this article, we will discuss a few tips to reduce bile secretion.
Healthy Lifestyle
Excess bile production results into nausea and uneasiness. The bile juices are excreted in excess when one eats food more than necessary. Therefore, always keep a track on the quantity of food you are eating. Also, food consumption should not be right before sleeping. Do not eat more than necessary and do not force food inside. ‘Eat timely and in small portions' is a good tip for preventing excess bile secretion.
Fatty Foods
As important as it is to watch over the quantity of food, it is also necessary to eat good quality food. Foods with high fats like oily and sugary substances require more time for digestion. Thus, this results in production of excess bile. To reduce excess bile production, avoid foods with high fat content. It includes junk food, cheese filled food and sugar filled food.
Water
To avoid excess bile secretion, keep the body hydrated. Water helps in the digestion of food. This results in less production of bile. One effective tip to reduce bile production is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. In fact, drinking a glass of warm water first thing in the morning and last thing in the night will help you to improve your digestion system and keep away the problems of bloating, gastroenteritis, nausea and uneasiness.
Acids
If you have always wondered how you can reduce the excess bile production in your body, you should avoid all the acidic substances in your diet. Avoid drinking coffee, citrus fruit juices, lemon water, etc especially in the night after dinner. Avoid eating food that may cause acidity and increase bile secretion.
Exercise
Exercising is one medicine for all diseases. Regular exercising can keep the body fit and free from all the ailments. Similarly, one good tip to reduce excess bile problem is exercise regularly. A walk after your meals for accelerating digestion, yoga positions for improving the digestion system and regular gym exercises are all effective in maintaining the bile level in our body.
