Urinary tract infection is a very common diease among women more than men and prevalent in every age group. A woman, however, gets more prone to urinary tract infection after menopause. It is an infection which takes place anywhere in the urinary tract which includes kidney, ureters, bladder and urethra. Lower urinary infection is more prevalent. The infection begins at urethra and then reaches the bladder where the bacteria multiplies.

Urine Infection Symptoms – Lower Urinary Tract

The urine infection symptoms in the lower urinary tract effects the bladder majorly. The common urine infection symptoms are -

1.Pain and burning sensation while urinating
2.Feeling like urinatong frequently, as soon as your bladder gets empty.
3.Pain in the lower abdomen
4.Foul smell

Urine Infection Symptoms – Upper Urinary Tract

When the infection spreads to the upper tract it starts affecting the kidney and the ureters. The symptoms of these along with the ones mentioned above includes, sever stomach pain, vomitting, nausea, chills and back pain.

Doctors advice should be taken as soon as one faces these urine infection symptoms. Upper tract infection are much more harmful than the lower tract. The bacteria multiplies quickly through the urinary tract and thus, one should take doctors advice on the slightest doubt of the disease.
