We often have the concept that if we stop gymming, after continuing it for quite some time than we again gain weight and perhaps more than what we had before. Have we ever thought why is it so?
Following are the reasons of yo yo diet problems, by gaining weight :
- While Yo Yo dieting, you start hypo caloric diet plan which was just the other extreme before. Then you rapidly loose weight for some time and you become happy. The extreme shift in the diet has adverse gradual effect on the body which gets highlight after the rapid weight loss.
- You stop loosing weight and you get misguided by the thought that your weight is consistent. Actually its the mere beginning towards gaining weight.
- After 2 months you cannot continue the hypo caloric diet plan. The body and brain stop accepting the diet plan thrust upon it. You will get tired sooner and will tend to sleep more. Thus you start gaining weight.
- In a week or two, you will see the weight gain and also fail to exercise as before.
- This will depress you and think the entire process to be a waste and start eating as before and rather more.
- Understand the biological language of your body. Your body has passed through a traumatic phase. It has many a times been left starving. So, whatever it gets, it stores, thus accumulating fats in areas where it is very difficult to work them out.
- Your body feels very insecure as it thinks that “Who knows when I will get my food again." So the appetite also increases and to end up consuming more then you ever had.
Yo yo dieting plan is no better than any lay man's view on diet. It is similar to the myths like if you eat your stomach full than you will grow fat. Yes of course, overeating just because your tongue likes the taste of it is not justified here. These were the reasons why you get caught in the Yo Yo Diet cycle. Eat to your delight and eat healthy is the easy way to live healthy, now that you know the reasons of yo yo diet cycle.
