Fish Diet – The Latest Weight Loss Mantra

Every day stress, improper meal timings, too many tempting food-joints, all these lead to one main thing – Weight Gain. One day, when you realise that your entire wardrobe has to be changed you resort to – Diet For Weight Loss.

Over the last few years, we have seen innumerable number of diets that contribute towards weight loss. One such diet is 'Fish Diet'. This diet for weight loss not only makes your diet interesting, but is also a key to good health. Fish diet includes high levels of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and is low on fats.

1.Do not choose only one variety of fish for your diet. Select fresh fish from the market. Canned and uncanned tuna fish is a top choice for eating, when it comes to fish diet. Try a tasty tuna casserole recipe, which is good for your heart.

Instead you can supplement it with an egg, apple and milk. For breakfast you can have fish oil capsules, thus ensuring that you get your morning dose of omega 3 fatty acids.

4.The oil present in fish is rich in omega 3 fatty acids, EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA(Dehydroascorbic Acid). This contributes towards brain-development, reduces heart disease, cancer and signs of depression.

5.Including fish in your daily diet encourages you to add more vegetables. Fish curry goes very well with brown rice, thus adding more vitamins to your meal.

6.Fish get easily digested. It is suitable for people of all ages. Thus, an entire family meal can be planed with fish as the basic food. Fish also gets cooked easily, saving you a lot of time in cooking.

A great source of essential nutrients can be acquired when you follow the above mentioned fish diet tips. However, there are a few things that have to kept in mind while following a fish diet. Pregnant women should not adopt a fish diet as there are chances of the fish being contaminated with mercury, which affects the fetus in an harmful way. Avoid cat fish, as they are known to eat anything, thus carrying a lot of pollutants within them.
