Health Tips To Start Following If You Are Diagnosed With Prediabetes
Here is what you can do if you find out you have prediabtes, in order to remain healthy!
Most of us would have heard of diabetes, right? Well, there is also a related condition known as prediabetes, which can affect people and cause undesirable side-effects, so certain health tips must be followed.
Diabetes is a metabolic condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin or it is not able to absorb the insulin well, leading to a number of symptoms, including high blood sugar that can cause harm to the affected person's health.
Although diabetes has no known cure yet, its symptoms can be treated effectively.

Now, prediabetes is a condition in which the blood sugar is high, but not high enough to qualify as full-blown diabetes; however, it can still cause certain undesirable symptoms in the affected person. Prediabetes, if left untreated, can graduate into type 2 diabetes within a few years, and then there is no hope for a cure.
So, it is very crucial to lookout for the signs of prediabetes and get immediate professional help.
Here are a few tips to follow if you are diagnosed with prediabetes.

Tip #1
Once you are diagnosed with prediabetes, it is important to keep getting your blood tested on a regular basis, to check if the blood glucose levels have increased, so that you can prevent diabetes.

Tip #2
If you are overweight or obese, make a conscious effort to lose weight, as excess fat in the body when you are prediabetic, can worsen the symptoms.

Tip #3
Ensure that you follow a strict diet, which consists of fibre-rich foods, devoid of sugar. Fibre-rich foods can balance the insulin levels and prevent prediabetes symptoms from getting aggravated.

Tip #4
Remain active, as much as you can, because, keeping active can improve your metabolism and once your metabolic rate is improved, you can prevent prediabetes turning into actual diabetes.

Tip #5
You can make changes in your diet, by consuming brown rice instead of white rice, as white rice contains starch and sucrose, which are unhealthy for a prediabetic.

Tip #6
Find a support group who can help you stick to your diet and exercise regime and also make sure that you are taking your medications, as dealing with prediabetes alone can be difficult for some!
