Spicy Dum Paneer Kalimirch Recipe
Who doesn't like to have paneer? People of all ages love to have paneer. How about having a spicy paneer food? Sounds good? The Dum Paneer Kalimirch is a spicy paneer and black pepper recipe that has all the exotic spices going in for the making of the dish. This is a vegetarian recipe that makes your taste buds crave for more. Since most of the the exotic spices is used for the preparation of this vegetarian recipe, it can be considered as one of the healthy recipes.
This dish can be savoured with chapatti or roti. For people who are the ardent fans of rice can also relish this paneer dish with either white rice, brown rice or basmati rice. If you want to try this recipe, prepare on weekends as it can take most of your time. However, you would not hesitate to prepare as the taste and the smell gets the better of you for wanting more of this dish.

Preparation Time - 15 minutes
Cooking Time - 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Cottage cheese/paneer- 400grams (cut into cubes)
Large Onion- 1 (grounded)
Bay leaf- 1
Cinnamon- 1 inch
Green cardamoms- 3
Cloves- 3
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Ginger-garlic paste- 2tbsp
Green chilli paste- 1tbsp
Coriander powder- 2tbsp
Cumin powder- 1tsp
Garam masala powder- 1tsp
Yogurt- 2 cups (whisked)
Fresh coriander leaves- 2tbsp (finely chopped)
Fresh mint leaves- 2tbsp (finely chopped)
Black pepper powder- 2tsp
Oil- 2tbsp
Salt- to taste
Procedure:
1. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan.
2. Season with bay leaf, cinnamon, green cardamom. Saute it for 1 minute on a low flame.
4. Add the grounded onion and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes till it becomes translucent.
5. Now add paneer cubes, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix and cook for another minute.
6. Now, add yogurt and black pepper powder. Cook for 5-10 minutes more till the oil starts floating on the top.
7. Add chopped coriander and mint leaves once the dish is cooked.
Spicy Dum Paneer Kalimirch is ready to serve. This can be eaten with roti or chapatti. Do not forget to have sliced vegetables with the dish.
