Green Pepper Baby Corn Fry Recipe
In addition to the delicious and sweet taste baby corn is rich in fibre, low in calories and contains a great amount of essential nutrients which is beneficial for health.
This yummy baby corn recipe is a must-try for veggie lovers. It is spicy, delicious and importantly it is healthy too.
To prepare this green pepper baby corn recipe, you require a few ingredients. Capsicum or green pepper and black pepper powder are two essential ingredients for this dish as they contribute to the major part of this yummy taste.
Moreover, this baby corn fry recipe is not time consuming, so try it out if you are in a hurry. To enjoy the green pepper baby corn fry recipe, consume it as a side dish with dal rice (chawal). You can also relish this treat with rotis or chappatis.
If you want to make this vegetable recipe a little tangy in taste, them add a tablespoon of tomato ketchup to it.

All You Need
- Small Baby Corn - ½ kg (chopped)
- Capsicum/Green pepper - 1 (sliced)
- Onion - 1 (grated)
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Pepper powder - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
- Green Chilli - 1 (sliced)
- Salt To Taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Water - ½ cup
Procedure
- Add oil to the pan. When hot, add the green chilly.
- Fry the chilly till a white coating is seen over it.
- Now add the grated onions to the pan and fry till golden-brown in colour.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and fry it well with the onions.
- Simmer the stove and allow the ingredients to cook well.
- Add in the pepper powder and turmeric powder.
- Now add the sliced capsicum, baby corn and fry well with the spices.
- Add a little water to the pan, if you see the ingredients turning dry. Allow the veggies to cook well on a low flame.
- When almost done add salt to taste.
- You can also add hing (asafoetida) for taste.

Baby Corn has a significant amount of iron which is good for anemic patients. It also has a high amount of folic acid, an essential element for pregnant women.
Tip:
Don't add too much of water while cooking the baby corn. It is a dry recipe.
