Ingredients
- Rice - ½ kg
- Onions - 2 (chopped)
- Tomatoes - 1 (chopped)
- Green Chillies - 1 (sliced)
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Green Peas - 100 gms
- Mushroom - 200 gms
- Corn - 1 cup (boiled)
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- To begin this yummy recipe, you first need to pressure cook the rice in a cooker. Pour one cup of water in the cooker containing the rice and let it cook for 5 whistles.
- When the rice is cooked, switch the flame off and keep it aside.
- In a pan, pour in a little oil and wait for it to turn hot. When the oil is hot, drop in the mustard seeds, green chilli and saute the ingredients well with each other.
- Now on a medium flame, drop in the chopped onions to the pan and fry it till it turns pinkish in colour.
- Now add to the pan, the green peas and the tomatoes and let it cook for a while on a medium flame. When the contents are cooked, sprinkle it with a little salt.
- Add to the pan, the mushrooms and gently stir the mixture using a flat spoon. Pour in a little water to the mixture and allow the mushroom to cook on a low flame.
- When the mushroom is cooked, drop in the cooked rice to the pan and gently stir the rice with the mixture. See that the mixture covers the entire boiled rice.
- When the rice cooking on the flame, add in the boiled corn and mix the rice well.
- Let the rice cook on the flame for about 5 minutes or so and then switch it off.
