Kaju Makhana With Gravy: Navratri Special
Kaju makhana gravy is a simple tasty Navratri vrat dish. The recipe to make kaju makhana is easy and this Navratri recipe is all time favorite for people fasting. Lets check out the Navratri recipe, kaju makhana gravy.
Kaju makhana gravy, Navratri recipe:
Ingredients
2 tsp lotus seeds (makhana)
50 gms cashew nuts paste
2 tsp ginger paste
chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp green peas
' tsp chopped ginger
turmeric, red chilli and garam masala powder
salt
jeera and mustard seeds
butter and cream
oil
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Directions to make Kaju makhana gravy, Navratri recipe:
1. Fry the lotus seeds (makhana) till it becomes little brown in color. Let it cool and then soak in water for sometime.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add little jeera and mustard seeds. Add ginger paste and mix. After few seconds, add tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala. Cook for 3-4 minutes n medium flame.
3. Add cashew nuts paste and a cup of water. Put it to boil and saute for 5 minutes.
4. Now add the soaked makhana and green peas to the gravy and mix well. Add some cream and put it off the flame after 1-2 minutes.
Kaju makhana gravy, Navratri recipe is ready. Add a tsp of butter and coriander leaves to garnish it.
