Whole Wheat Dosa Recipe
Would you like to start your day on a healthy note? Then, try this yummy and light whole wheat dosa recipe. To prepare this vegetarian recipe, you will need a lot of time on your hands. Working mums can provide a yummy and healthy breakfast or tiffin for their kids using this yummy recipe.
Dosa on the whole is a filling meal. If you prepare this healthy vegetarian meal it will not keep your tummy empty till your lunch break. One important thing to remember while preparing the batter is to make sure it is not thick. A thick batter will lead to a lumpy dosa and this will not make an appetising appearance.
Here is how you prepare whole wheat dosa. Take a look at this interesting recipe for breakfast.

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- Whole Wheat - 2 Cups
- Coconut - 2 Tbsp
- Water - 1 cup
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- You begin by first washing the whole wheat well with running clean water. Drain the water out in a colander and keep aside for half an hour. You need to wait till the grains turn dry.
- When dry, add it to a mixer and make a coarse powder.
- Your dosa powder is now ready.
- Make the whole wheat dosa batter by adding the coconut and little water to the powder. Grind this mixture again in the blender to make a thick batter.
- Add in the salt to taste and give it a good stir.
- Now start to fry your dosa over a medium flame. When the tawa is hot, spread the batter evenly in a circular motion. Allow it to fry until brown.
- When the dosa is ready to eat. Serve with green chutney.
It is said that whole wheat dosa tastes better when paired with curry leaf chutney. However, you can opt for anything to make this breakfast special.
