Paneer Bhurji Recipe For Dinner
One of the most loved ingredients in India is dishes made out of cottage cheese, in other words, paneer. In Northern parts of India, it is not uncommon to find paneer as an ingredient in at least one dish in a day. The paneer bhurji, a popular preparation by Indians, has become famous worldwide too.
The paneer bhurji recipe is easy. It is a spicy dish enjoyed by both the young and old. The best thing about this yummy paneer bhurji recipe is that it goes well with both bread and parathas! In some parts of India, particularly the South, this paneer bhurji is used as a stuffing for dosas to prepare paneer dosa.

This evening, you can enjoy this lovely and spicy paneer bhurji with parathas, bread or even with dosa. Here is how you can prepare this yummy paneer bhurji recipe:
Serves : 3
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Paneer - 2 cups ( mashed)
- Cumin Seeds - 2 tsp
- Onions - 2 (chopped)
- Tomatoes -1 (chopped)
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 ½ tsp
- Green chillies - 2 (sliced)
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- Place a pan over a medium flame. Wait for the pan to get hot. When hot, pour in the oil and wait for the oil to get warm.
- When hot, drop in the chopped onions and let it fry till it turns golden brown in colour. Allow the onions to fry till they are a little crispy.
- Now add in the green chillies to the pan and fry till the chillies well.
- Add to the pan, the cumin seeds, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and fry all of these ingredients well.
- When the powders are fried well in the oil, add to the pan the chopped tomatoes.
- Fry the tomatoes well with the ingredients.
- After 5 minutes or so, add in the mashed cups of paneer to the pan. Mix the paneer well with the ingredients in the pan.
- Cover the pan and allow it to cook for 10 minutes or so.
- After the time stated, open the lid of the pan and sprinkle the garam masala powder and the salt over the dish.
- Give it a final stir using a flat spoon.
Your paneer bhurji is now ready to eat. You can enjoy this yummy recipe tonight.
