Tasty Steamed Sweet Modakas

As the festive season starts, we tend to eat a lot of sweets. But there are many people who are concisous about their diet.
So, today we shall teach you one of the best sweets that you can prepare that's good for people who are diet concious.
Nuchinunde Special For Nagarapanchami
The sweet steamed modakas are a quite famous sweet recipe in south India. This is a special sweet thats specially made during nagarapanchami and ganesh chaturti.
So, today let's learn how to prepare sweet steamed modakas.

Serves - 4
Cooking time - 10 min
Preperation time - 15 min
Ingredients
- Rice flour: 300 gm
- Jagerry - 2 cup
- Coconut - grated one cup
- Cardomon - 1 tbsp
- Ghee
Healthy Moong Dal Sweet Recipe
Procedure:
- Take a bowl and add some water. Wait for it to boil then slowly add rice flour. Keep stirring it to make sure no lumps are formed.
- Wait for a while for it to cool down and use your hands to knead it into a soft dough. (apply ghee to your hands to make sure that the dough does not stick to them)
- In another bowl, add water and wait until it boils.
- After it is heated, add jaggery and stir it well. Add cardomon powder.
- Now, add grated coconut to the jaggery and mix it well. When the mixture is thick, set it aside and let it cool down a little.
- Apply a little ghee to your hands and pinch a lemon sized ball out of the dough.
- Take the rice dough ball in your palm tap it out into a circle.
- Now, put a spoon full of the jaggery mixture at the center of the circle. Fold it and seal the edges to form a modaka.
- Make as many modakas as you need.
- In the pressure cooker add water and keep the modakas in the cooker.
- Steam it for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Now, hot and tasty sweet steamed modakas are ready to serve.
