This matar chaat recipe is a delicious spicy snack. It is a perfect blend of well cooked matar (peas) along with different spices giving it a tangy taste. You can try this finger licking recipe this evening as a snack or this recipe can be used as a main dish as well.

All you need
- Matar - 1 cup
- Black salt 1 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/4th tsp
- Sugar - ½ tsp
- Cumin seed - 1 tsp
- Coriander - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 2 tsp (finely chopped)
- Green chilies - 2 (finely chopped)
- Tamarind pulp - 2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Salt To Taste
Easy Chicken Manchow Soup Recipe
Procedure
- Add matar in a bowl and let it soak overnight.
- In a fry pan add cumin and coriander seeds and roast them. Let it cool and grind these roasted seeds to a powder.
- Pressure cook the matar in a cooker along with salt, ginger and green chillies.
- Cook for 15 mins on medium flame.
- Heat oil in a pan and add all the spices i.e; tamarind pulp, coriander, sugar, black pepper, black salt, lemon juice and ginger pieces, and cooked matar in a pan and stir well.
- Add a little water if they look too dry, the gravy should be thick.
- Serve the warm matar chaat by garnishing it with ginger, green chili and lemon pieces.
