Golgappa Chaat: Yummy Snack Recipe
When we think of street foods in India, we only get the image of huge golgappas dipped in tamarind water. Golgappa is also known as pani puri, puchka or aloo puri masala. Whatever the name be, we all love to hog few golgappas. The sweet, tangy and spicy evening snack is loved by everyone. You can either dip the golgappas in tamarind water or in sweet sugary water or both. If you love golgappa and want to try some different snack with the same ingredients then checkout this easy chaat recipe.
The golgappa chaat is made with onions, boiled potatoes, green chillies, spices, pulpy tamarind and coriander chutney.

Golgappa chaat recipe:
Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Golgappa- 8-10 pieces
- Potatoes- 4 (boiled)
- Onions- 2 (finely chopped)
- Tomatoes- 2 (finely chopped)
- Green chillies- 2-4 (finely chopped)
- Curd- 2tbsp
- Tamarind pulp- 2tbsp
- Coriander chutney-1tbsp
- Chaat masala- 1tsp
- Garam masala- ½ tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Black salt- a pinch
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
For garnishing
- Coriander leaves- 2tbs (chopped)
- Sev- 4tbsp
- Onion- 2tsp (finely chopped)
Procedure
- In a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes with a spoon.
- Take a plate. Break the golgappas a little for stuffing potatoes. Stuff the mashed potatoes and then place the golgappas in the plate.
- Now spread chopped onions, tomatoes and green chillies over it.
- With a spoon, pour the curd and then sprinkle all the spices namely red chilli powder, garam masala and chaat masala. Then sprinkle salt and black salt over the golgappas.
Golgappa chaat is ready. Garnish with sev, onions and coriander leaves. Serve it immediately.
