Weekend Special: Kebab Mourgh Recipe


Finally it's weekend again and it's time to prepare something mouthwatering for everyone at home. Now when it comes to preparing , most of you would find yourself in a dilemma as to what to cook. Don't worry we have just the perfect solution for you.

Kebabs are a favourite item of most of us. Be it the vegetarian or the non vegetarian kebabs, their melt-in-the-mouth taste makes them all the more irresistible. So, this weekend we have an excellent kebab recipe for the ardent chicken lovers. It's called the Kebab Mourgh and it tastes absolutely delicious.

  • Chicken breast-2 {cut into small pieces }
  • Lemon juice- 3tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala- ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder- 1tsp
  • Yogurt- 2tbsp
  • Saffron- 1 pinch
  • Butter- 1tbsp
  • Oil- 3tbsp
  • Green bell pepper- 1
  • Onion- 1

Method of preparation

  1. In a bowl ,mix together chicken, lemon juice, salt, garam masala, red chili powder, 2 tbsp oil and yogurt
  2. Marinate for 4-5 hours
  3. Melt butter in a bowl and add saffron and 1 tbsp oil
  4. Cut bell pepper and onion into small cubes
  5. Thread the chicken ,bell pepper and onion onto the skewers
  6. Brush with saffron butter
  7. Grill on a grill pan or barbeque till the chicken is cooked
  8. Serve hot with lemon and onion rings
