The green bean casserole celebrates its 55th year this Thanksgiving which is celebrated in USA on the fourth Thursday of this month.

Classic green bean casserole recipe -

Ingredients:

1 can condensed cream
4 cups green beans (cooked)
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 cup milk
1 1/3 cups onions (fried)

Preparation:

Mix cream, milk and pepper in a casserole dish.

Add cooked beans and fried onions and stir the mixture well.

Bake for about half an hour at 350 degrees F.

Garnish the baked bean mixture with the remaining onions and bake for some more minutes (5 minutes).

This classic recipe serves 6.
