Grilled Salmon With Cucumber Raita- Indian Recipe
Most of us hesitate to eat fish due to its taste. However, people have a different approach when to comes to salmon. Salmon is a fish that is eaten by people all over the world. Even those who are not very much interested in having seafood enjoy eating salmon. The best part of salmon is, it can be cooked and eaten in many different ways. Salmon is known to be rich and has a very high nutrient profile, including omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fats, as we know, helps in reducing inflammation in our bodies, including heart disease, diabetes, different types of cancers and arthritis. It also helps prevent the blood clots.
Salmon are also high in proteins and vitamin D. This fish also contains necessary B12 and is an excellent source of B6 and magnesium. The nutrition that are found in salmon is not lost even when it is cooked. Grilled salmon is one of the famous and nutritious food that is easy to cook, consumes less time and equally good for health. Adding fish in our daily diet is also beneficial for eyes and hair. And salmon being a source of all nutrition is the best food you can have on daily basis.

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Marinating fish: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
Olive oil- 2tbsp
Soy sauce- 1tbsp
Mustard seeds- 2tsp
Garlic- ¼ tsp (dried and minced)
Fresh ginger- ½ cup (peeled and chopped)
Garam masala- 1tsp
Coriander- 1tsp (chopped)
Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
Yogurt- 1 cup
Fresh lime juice- 1tbsp
Cucumber- 2 cups (sliced)
Salmon- 4 pieces
Procedure
1. Make a mixture or puree of ginger, garam masala, garlic, coriander, and cumin in a blender until it is formed into a paste.
2. Put salmon into a baking dish and season it with salt and pepper.
3. Coat salmon with ginger paste or mixture.
4. Let marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, for the raita stir yogurt, cucumber, coriander, lime juice, and garam masala in a medium bowl.
6. Season raita to taste with salt and pepper.
7. Grill salmon, turning once, until it just begins to flake in center and turns to brownish-red.
8. Transfer salmon to a plate.
9. Garnish with coriander and serve with raita.
Your grilled salmon is ready, you can have it with raita or fresh vegetables.
