Broccoli Shrimp Pasta Recipe
It is an usual scenario where most of us order for some Italian cuisine when we go out during weekends. Pastas, risottos and of course pizzas are the most famous dishes that we order in restaurants or cafes. Inspite of their sky rocketing prices, we do not hesitate to shell out few pennies to tingle our taste buds with the creamy dishes of Italy. However, Italian foods have now become an integral part of India and many of us prepare Italian food at home without much difficulty.
Broccoli Shrimp Pasta is a very healthy pasta recipe that can be eaten for lunch as it is a main course recipe. It is a detailed recipe that needs time and lots of patience to prepare it. At the same time broccoli shrimp pasta has main ingredients like broccoli and shrimp which are known to be very healthy and lots of nutritional values. Try this healthy pasta recipe which is filled with nutritional value to keep you healthy and fit.

Cooking Time : 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Pasta- 250grams
Broccoli- 1 (chopped)
Shrimp- 15 to 20 (peeled)
Garlic- 2 cloves (diced)
Green Chillies- 2 (slit)
Black Pepper Powder- 1/4tsp
Olive oil- 2tbsp
Salt- as per taste
Ingredients for the Sauce:
Milk- 1/2 cup
Chicken broth- 1 cup
Butter- 2tbsp
Wheat Flour- 1tbsp
Black Pepper Powder- 1/4 tsp
Red chilly Powder- 1/4 tsp
Garlic Powder- 1/4 tsp
Dried Parsley- 1tsp
Herbs: Thyme, Rosemary,Sage, Oregano, Basil- 1tsp (all)
Lemon Juice- 1tsp
Salt- as per taste
For marinating the Shrimp:
Garlic Powder- 1/4 tsp
Red Chilly Powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt- as per taste
Procedure:
1. Wash and dry the shrimp. Marinate it with the above ingredients and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
2. Bring water to boil, add 1tsp salt and cook the pasta. Drain away the water and keep aside.
3. Meanwhile, heat 1tbsp olive oil in a large frying pan. Add the shrimp to the pan.
4. Fry the shrimp for around 2 minutes on each side or until sauted. Remove and keep aside.
5. To the same pan, add 2tbsp of oil. Saute the broccoli, garlic and green chillies for 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
6. Melt 2tbsp butter in another deep pan. Reduce heat and add 2tsp of wheat flour. Quickly stir the flour and butter until it is mixed well till it forms a paste.
7. Add 1/2 cup of milk and 1 cup of chicken broth to the pan. Whisk everything together. Season with 1 tsp lemon Juice, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and 1/4 tsp garlic powder.
8. Add the dried parsley and the herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and basil). Stir continuously until the sauce is smooth and thick.
9. Switch off the heat and add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Mix well. Add the cooked broccoli and shrimp to the pasta. Toss everything until combined.
Your delicious broccoli shrimp pasta is ready, relish it with sliced vegetables to increase the nutritional value.
