Mutton Curry Recipe For Non Vegetarians
Mutton is good for health as it contains a lot of nutrients and minerals that are essential for a non vegetarian diet.
To make mutton curry, you need to know the correct amount of spices required to add in to give you a splendid taste.
For mutton curry, you will need
1.11/2 kg of mutton
2.6 cardamom sticks
3.20 dry red chillies
4.4 onions
5.20 garlic and cloves
6.2 cinnamon sticks
7.4 pieces of ginger
8.1 sp of coriander seeds
9.1 tsp of saffron/turmeric powder
10.1 lemon
11.1 cup of sour curd
12.Oil or ghee for frying
13.Salt to taste
Directions for Mutton Curry
1.Slice the onions, the ginger and garlic separately. Fry on a heated tava which has the ghee or oil.
2.Roast in the dry chillies till it gets dark in colour. Fry in the coriander seeds, garlic and ginger.
3.In another large pan, fry the onions till it gets golden brown in colour. Add in the cloves, cardamom and cinnamon to the pan.
4.After well fried, add in the cut pieces of the mutton with turmeric/saffron powder and salt to taste.
5. Now cover the tava till the mutton gets cooked.
6.Pour in a little amount of water to avoid the meat from sticking to the pan which allows it to burn easily. Add in the sour curds to the mixture and the remaining spices too.
7.Cook on low meat till it gets tender.
After it gets cooked, squeeze the lemon on top of the dish and garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves.
Your mutton curry is ready to eat. Enjoy it hot along with coconut rice.
