Kheema Saag Recipe For Ramzan
Ramzan is the time when you are fasting for almost the entire day. This means you lose out on required calories and also become prone to acidity as your body doesn't get food. Ramzan recipes should thus be tasty as well as healthy.
While taste is important, you must certainly not miss out on important valuable nutrients as well. That is why; something like the kheema saag is an ideal Ramzan recipe.
30 SUMPTUTOUS MEAT RECIPES FOR EID
Kheema Saag recipe comprises minced meat cooked with spinach. You can use any kind of minced meat in this dish except pork. Here, we have used mutton kheema to prepare the kheem saag curry. This dish cooks easily and you get to eat healthy green vegetables along with meat at one go.
You must definitely have this Iftar recipe on your list for the holy month of Ramzan so that your family eats a hearty and nutritious meal.

Ingredients
- Mutton kheema- 750 grams
- Spinach- 3 bunches (chopped with stems intact)
- Onions- 2 (chopped)
- Ginger-garlic paste- 2tbsp
- Green chillies- 4 (chopped)
- Tomato puree- 2tbsp
- Lemon juice- 2tbsp
- Bay leaf- 1
- Peppercorn- 10 (crushed)
- Red chilli- powder- 1tsp
- Cumin powder- 2tsp
- Coriander powder- 2tsp
- Garam Masala powder- 2tsp
- Coriander leaves- 2 stalks (chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 3tbsp
Procedure
- Marinate the kheema with lemon juice, salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
- Leave it aside for 30 minutes.Heat oil in a deep skillet.
- Season it with a bay leaf and crushed peppercorns. Then, saute the onions in the skillet on a low flame.
- When the onions turn brown, add the marinated kheema to the pan. Cook for the duration of 4-5 minutes on a low flame.
- When the juices start oozing, add tomato puree and green chillies. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the spinach to the pan and mix it up with the meat. Add salt; cover and cook on a low flame for 5-7 minutes.
- Season the curry with garam masala and coriander leaves.
- You can serve kheema saag with rice or rotis during Iftar.
