Serves: 2
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs- 500gms
  • Honey- 1/3 cup
  • Mustard seeds- 1/3 cup
  • Black pepper- 1tsp (grounded)
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Olive oil- 1tbsp

Procedure

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Meanwhile, slowly add mustard, honey and add olive oil in a bowl. Now sprinkle salt (as per taste) and mix well with a spoon. Keep increasing the quantity of these ingredients till the desired amount and flavour of the sauce is not achieved.
  • Do not remove the skin of the chicken as it prevents the meat from drying. Wash the chicken thighs and then salt them.
  • Now lay the chicken pieces on a greased casserole dish. Slowly pour the mustard and honey sauce over the chicken pieces.
  • Bake the dish for 40-45 minutes till the juices run clear if a knife or toothpick is inserted into the chicken. Take out the casserole dish once the chicken thighs are cooked and look juicy.

If the chicken has secreted a lot of juice, you can take it out with a spoon. Serve this juicy hot honey and mustard chicken dish with boiled rice. You can also have it as an appetizer with onion rings.
