WIFW’15: Rahul Singh’s Feathery Plumage
The WIFW 2015 collection of young designer Rahul Singh is titled ‘Plumage' As the name suggests, it is inspired from a flight of birds and their form. Spring is a season in which we get to hear the chirping of bird and sounds of their musical voices. Rahul Singh's collection for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2015 Spring Summer brought spring alive on the ramp.
The colour palate for this collection was extremely soothing and serene. There were light leaf green, aquamarine and smooth crimson colours used in the outfits. These colours were used in a mélange that came together to form vivid patterns on the outfits. Peplum is a stylistic element that was used abundantly in this collection.

The focus on metallic is obvious in this collection. There were metallic textures and shimmering silhouettes that peaked the glamour element of Rahul Singh's WIFW 2015 collection. The bling element was very dominant and you cannot deny that these were clothes for a Spring Summer party for sure. We particularly like the green draped dress with fish scales effect.
The best part about Rahul Singh's collection was its fluidity. As the designs were inspired by birds and their streamlined bodies, it was good to see the smooth form of the outfits on the ramp. The clothes were streamlined to fit just like birds are streamlined to fly. Day 5 of WIFW 2015 which is also the closing day thus began with a bling.
