Madhuri Disappoints In Gaurav Gupta Saree

When Madhurui Dixit is seen in a saree, all her fans rejoice. Madhuri looks like a quintessential Indian woman in a saree and that is what is totally appealing about her. However, this time we were disappointed to see Madhuri Dixit in a saree in a very long time. She is wearing saree from Gaurav Gupta's couture in the forthcoming episode of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 7. Somehow, we are not a fan of the leme saree style that Mrs Dixit-Nene is sporting these days.

We have seen Madhuri Dixit in Gaurav Gupta outfits before. In fact, she was seen in a solid gold saree style gown from the designer earlier in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 7 itself. But this saree from Gaurav Gupta goes down firstly due to the dull shades of grey and black. These colours are not at all hot for the season. Besides, the dull colours do not brighten up Madhuri's lovely complexion.

Secondly, the pinned and pleated look of the saree does not go well on plump women. On a slimmer woman, this saree could have looked trendy. But on a pleasantly plump Madhuri Dixit, this saree looks awkward. The partially lined black lace blouse also did not help matters. It confused the look further by bringing in clutter. Thirdly, the dual toned look of the saree is another fashion trend that is on its way out. This has been one of Madhuri Dixit's most off-beat look in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa this season.

The accessories that Madhuri wore with the saree were alright. The jhumkas, jarao bangles and the large blue cocktail ring were all well coordinated. The only thing saving this look from being a complete letdown was Madhuri's trendy side braid and her legendary million-dollar smile. Let's hope that we get a show-stopping look from Madhuri Dixit in a saree the next time around.
