Madhuri Dixit Dazzles In Blue Saree

After giving us a number of disastrous looks in awkward Western outfits and improvised sarees, Madhuri is back to doing what she does best. That is; wearing a simple saree with a pleated pallu. Madhuri Dixit was in a blue saree with a pleated pallu and designer blouse. This saree is a patli pallu saree from Ridhi Mehra's couture.

During the shooting of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7, Madhuri Dixit was with the team of the upcoming movie 'Kick'. She looked stunning in this cobalt blue saree that had prints on the pleats and the pallu. This type of saree is usually referred to as the 'patli pallu' saree. The fabric used in the saree was georgette. The prints on the saree were embellished with sequins.

Madhuri Dixit's saree blouse design was interesting. The sleeveless blouse had an appliqued golden zari work on the neckline. The saree was worn by pleating up the pallu. However, we have a feeling that the saree would have worked better had she left the pallu loose. The pleated pallu was giving Madhuri a pinched look.

The star chandelier earrings and bangles matched the saree fine but they were not exactly drop dead gorgeous. However, we did like Madhuri's half pinned hairstyle and the red roses she had used to adorn her hair. The bright blood red lipstick is also a plus. Any other light shade would have completely ruined the look.

As far as we are concerned, Madhuri Dixit looked nice in this saree. But we are not holding our breath in awe.
