IBFW 2013: Tarun Tahiliani's Collection
Ace fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani showcased his all new bridal collection at the Day 1 of Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013. The much awaited bridal fashion week, IBFW 2013 kick started in Mumbai on a high note. Jyotsna Tiwari and Tarun Tahiliani opened the show on day 1 with their respective collections.
Tarun Tahiliani's bridal collection was bright, colourful, heavy and ethnic as well. As expected Tarun Tahiliani's bridal collection had his all time favourite saffron and pink colours. However, we even saw some new colours like light purple, sky blue, the traditional red, beige, golden and nude as well.
Tarun Tahiliani's bridal collection at IBFW 2013 ramp showcased some traditional as well as some modern bridal wear. From ethnic lehengas to slit silhouettes, Tarun made sure he catered to all types of women. For example, we saw the heavy bridal lehengas which were expected in the bridal show. However, we even saw a nice beige and golden coloured silhouettes and gowns which had a front slit and was worn with a lace bustier bra underneath. Even heavily embroidered jackets were worn with silhouettes which looked nice!
Tarun's show was very entertaining as well. Dancers and live performance on contemporary forms added a charm to the environment. Tarun did not have any celebrity showstopper though. Here is a look at his bridal collection at IBFW 2013.

Golden Gowns and Anarkalis
Tarun Tahiliani used golden colours to showcase his bridal collection at IBFW 2013 ramp.

Golden Saree
Tarun showcased a golden saree which was worn with a sheer bandhgala sequinned blouse. The ditto dress was worn by Shreya Saran at an award function recently.

Beige
Lace work on light beige coloured outfits looked classy on the ramp. Both sarees and silhouettes were shown in his bridal collection.

Green
Shades of green were seen on contemporary designs by Tarun Tahiliani. Frilly skirts, gowns and sarees were seen in this elegant light colour.

Colourful Lehengas
Traditional lehenga designs in different colours were showcased on the ramp. Heavy embroidery looked classy. Tarun used colours like coral, pink, saffron and golden.

Pallu
Ghunghat or pallu added a touch to the desi look. It gave a perfect bridal look on the ramp. Sheer dupattas with embroidered borders were seen on the ramp.

Bridal Wear
Tarun showcased lehengas, anarkalis and sarees which are basic essentials of a bridal trousseau.

Floral Print
Floral embroidery and prints were also seen on some of the bridal outfits. They looked bright and colourful.

Pink
Light shades of pink in silk and net were also used by Tarun Tahiliani in his bridal collection at IBFW 2013 ramp.

Saffron
Shades of orange, coral and saffron looked traditional. Tarun Tahiliani seems to use the Indian colours to add a desi touch to the bridal outfits.
