Tips For Sweater Maintainance

1.Wear a cotton shirt under sweaters to avoid contact with body sweat.
2.Do not wash sweaters often, as washing may be hard on these garments because the woven fibers stretch and shrink drastically during frequent wash/dry process.
3.Never wash sweaters in a washing machine. It is always better to hand wash sweaters with cold water, adding a small amount of mild detergent specially formulated for them.
4.For deodorant stains on sweaters, turn it inside out and carefully hand wash until the deodorant dissolves.
5.While drying the woolen garment, dry it on a plastic hanger or over the sink or tub or outside, if weather permits.
6.It is better to lay sweaters flat on a floor or any dry area for a good ventilation to get rid of the musty smell.
7.Sweaters can be maintained by draping it over the towel bar in your bathroom to avoid the growth of molds that producing an unpleasant, damp odour.
8.If you want your sweaters to look new, never hang them but always fold them up and put them in a drawer.
9.For sweaters to smell good, maintain sweaters by using scented sachets or naphthalene balls.
10. It is better if you Do not allow hooks and buttons on a bag or coat, to come in contact with your woolen garment, as it will pull the wool out, create bobbins and ultimately have a disastrous effect.
11. To remove bobbins on sweaters use salt paper and gently rub on sweaters. For dust on sweaters brush them lightly with a soft brush(soft bristle tooth brush).
