Next time you hear people talking incessantly about the many beauty merits of shea butter, believe them, for it is all true! Shea butter, derived from the nuts of the karite tree, comes with a bounty of goodness.
Intense moisturisation, excellent lip healing capabilities and potent anti-ageing benefits are just a few of the beauty benefits it is celebrated for. While there are tons of natural butter out there, touted for the same beauty benefits, shea butter, any day, has an upper hand. Here is why.
It is one of the least processed natural butters, which helps it retain majority of its vitamin and minerals. It is packed with ingredients like oleic acid, stearic acid and linoleic acid, making it an amazing skin absorbent.
Shea butter is also a major carrier of antioxidants like vitamins A and E and catechins, which protect the skin against free radicals and harmful UV rays.
With its many unsurpassed benefits, it goes without saying that shea butter is the one ingredient you need to rely on with your eyes closed. Listed below are a few quick beauty recipes that will help you get the most of this magic ingredient.
