A new range of lingerie, called the Bio-Fir Anti-Cellulite, is going on sale at John Lewis stores. The range is said to be scientifically proven to significantly reduce cellulite and encourage inch loss in less than 30 days. Tests on 50 women found that 82 percent who wore the shape wear, as it is called, for six hours every day for 30 days recorded significant inch loss and cellulite reduction.

The revolutionary garment's makers claim active bio-crystals contained within the yarn emit heat energy rays, which stimulate cell metabolism, improving blood flow. This, in turn, stimulates the body's lymphatic drainage system - melting away the subcutaneous fat layer and toxins responsible for cellulite into liquid that can be excreted. However, any improvement in the skin's appearance is temporary.
