DIY Salt Scrub For Dandruff
Now, dandruff is not a serious health problem nor does it signal poor hygiene, although most people seem to associate having dandruff with poor hygiene. There are scrubs that you could prepare with the use of salt to treat dandruff.
Most often the appearance of dandruff has nothing to do with hygiene. Dandruff can crop up in scalps that get washed on a regular basis. But we know you never thought you could use salt to treat dandruff!
A few things you need to keep in mind when dealing with dandruff is that all skin types can suffer from it. Whether you have an oily skin or dry skin, dandruff could bother you.

Common sense tells us that only dry scalps would suffer from dandruff. But, this is not true. Dry dandruff is easier to treat. Oily dandruff happens due to excessive sebum production in the scalp.
The good thing about this type of dandruff is that the flakes don't fall off everywhere, whereas with dry dandruff, the flakes keep falling all over the place. DIY salt scrubs for dandruff can best help in addressing the situation.
There are several shampoos available in the market for dandruff problems. But do these actually do what they claim to do? Most of you would have noticed flakes falling from your scalp even after using such a shampoo.

That is because just like we need a scrub to deal with flakes on our face, we need a scrub for the scalp. Mere washing would not be enough, when it comes to removing the dead skin flakes.
So, that is why we're suggesting you to try out this DIY salt scrub for your dandruff. Here's how you can use salt to remove dandruff!
Ingredients:
Table salt
Shampoo

Method & Application:
Squeeze out some shampoo into your palm and using a salt shaker, sprinkle some salt into the mix. The quantity of salt sprinkled should be according to the severity of your dandruff.
That's it, and your DIY salt scrub is ready to be used. Wet your scalp slightly, and not the entire length of your hair. Apply the scrub you just made on the scalp and rub it in.
Use it just as you would use a scrub on your face. Keep working this in your scalp till you're sure all the dead skin is scrubbed off.
After this, wash your hair with your regular shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you get all the salt off. You will see that all your dandruff is gone just after one usage.
You may need to do this method every week to make sure that the dandruff does not come back.
