6 Effective Home Remedies To Lighten Dark Elbows
Take a look at some of the best home remedies to lighten your dark elbows easily right at the comfort of your home.
Elbows are the most ignored parts of our body. We take care of our face, hands and legs and even our soles, but not our elbows. Having dark elbows doesn't make any difference, but treating them to lighten the area brings evenness to your skin.
The skin around the elbows is under constant wear and tear. The skin is also thicker and has multiple folds, which require in-depth cleaning. This area also lacks oil glands. There are oil glands but very less in number, making the area further drier.

Elbows look darker than other parts of the hand and the body and that is because dead cells build up and deposit in between the folds.
The best way to lighten your elbows is by using natural ingredients. Here are a few home remedies that will help you lighten dark elbows, take a look,

Coconut Oil
Take some coconut oil and massage your elbows with it. Don't wash it, let it wear itself. Doing this will slowly brighten the skin, as it deeply nourishes it and takes out the dead cells as well. Do this every night for effective results.

Turmeric Lightening Pack
Take ½ a teaspoon of turmeric, 1 teaspoon of milk, 1 teaspoon of glycerine and 1 tablespoon of gram flour. Make a paste which has a very thick consistency. Add water only if required. Apply it on to your elbows and let it sit for around 10 minutes. Don't let it completely dry, as it will pull the moisture out of the skin. Rinse this and massage the elbows with little coconut oil.

Baking Soda And Lemon Pack
Take ¼th teaspoon of baking soda and squeeze half a lemon to it. Mix it well to make a smooth paste and scrub your elbows with this in a circular motion. This will remove the dead cells and deep cleanse the area. Do this twice a week for effective results.

Yogurt And Vinegar Mask
Take 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Mix them well and apply it on the elbows. Rinse it off using lukewarm water and moisturize it using coconut oil. This evens out the skin and locks in the moisture in the cells. Store the excess in the refrigerator and repeat every alternate day.

Sugar, Salt, And Olive Oil Scrub
Mix 1 teaspoon of sugar, ¼th teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Use this scrub in a circular motion on your elbows and leave for 10 minutes. The sugar and salt added to the scrub will help remove the dead cells, while olive oil will moisturize the skin and promote new cell production. Repeat it three times every week for best results.

Peel Of Any Fleshy Fruit
Use peels of banana, mango, watermelon, papaya, etc., to scrub the elbow area. Move the peel in circular movements till until no juice comes out of the peel. A fruit's peel is rich in antioxidants and helps in the deep conditioning of the elbow's skin. Do it every time you eat a fruit, which should be 4 times a day. The antioxidants scavenge any free radicals that are present on the skin, thereby reducing the skin damage.
