Mistakes To Avoid While Removing Body Hair
There is a right way and a wrong way to remove body hair. Here are some common mistakes that most girls end up making while removing body hair.
The joy of enjoying ultra soft and supple skin cannot be overlooked at! Each one of us enjoys having hairless skin, don't we? If not waxing at a parlor, we sometimes opt to remove hair at home. There are certain mistakes too which we unknowingly commit while removing hair. To know more about the hair removal mistakes we must avoid, continue reading.
Shaving off hair using a razor or other hair-removing creams is a quick-fix to get hairless hands and legs at home. You have been probably shaving for more than 5 years now, but despite your experience, you end up making several mistakes.
You are making these mistakes every time you remove hair and you don't even realise it. So, read further to know more about the mistakes to avoid while removing hair. We bet, you would not repeat these hair removal mistakes again once you read all about them.

1. Avoiding Exfoliation
Most of us avoid exfoliating our skin before shaving off the hair, which is absolutely wrong. It is very important to exfoliate your skin before hair removal, as it helps to remove the dead cells from the skin. Dead skin generally traps the ingrown hair follicles, which becomes very hard to be pulled off. When these dead cells are removed, it becomes quite easy to pull out the hair from the skin.

2. Shaving In The Morning
Many of them think shaving in the morning can help to give smooth, soft and hairless skin. But the fact is, shaving in the morning is the biggest mistake because your legs tend to get swollen soon after you wake up from sleep. As the skin gets inflamed, the hair gets trapped inside the swollen skin, which does not give you a closer finish.

3. Using A Dull Blade
Shaving your legs with a dull blade is another mistake, as it does not pull out the hair closely. You should generally change the razors after you finish shaving off your legs and hands. Not only will it help to give you a closer shave, but regularly replacing your razor blade is also one of the keys in preventing day-after red bumps.

4. Not MoisturisingThe Skin Enough
Dry skin is another cause of ingrown hair, so it's important to keep your skin hydrated. If you forget to moisturise, it can generally lead to ingrown hair, which becomes difficult to be removed. Always use an aloe vera gel after shaving your skin, as it will help to keep your skin hydrated and supple. If not aloe vera gel, use any other moisturiser that will keep your skin cool and hydrated. Avoid using any perfumed lotions, as they may irritate your skin.

5. Waxing Too Frequently
If you wax too frequently, you are generally in a place where the hair does not grow completely. You should wait for at least four weeks until your next waxing session, so that the hair grows up to a quarter inch in length. According to experts, your hair should be a quarter-inch long, so that it is waxed properly.

6. Waxing At The Wrong Time Of The Month
Waxing during hormonal shifts of the body is the worst period to get your body waxed. You should never consider waxing when you are on your dates. Due to extra blood flowing out, your body gets uncomfortable and your skin is extra-sensitive. Hence, you should not add further discomfort by waxing during those days of the month.

7. Not Getting It Done By Experts
Many of them think they can do everything, but waxing may turn out to be a disaster sometimes when done at home. Not getting it done by your expert can be one among the biggest mistakes you could be doing. Make sure to take the help of an expert for your regular waxing sessions to get smooth, hairless skin.
