From drying that nasty pimple, healing cracked heels to beating funky breaths, here are some ingenious beauty hacks using cinnamon, you need to try today!
The sweet-smelling spice, we call cinnamon, is fast becoming a rage in the beauty world and there is a good reason why!
From polishing skin, drying off nasty pimples to curing bad breath, there is much more that cinnamon can do. And that is precisely why we curated these beauty hacks that you could follow using cinnamon.

Cinnamon has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties, which cleanse the pores of impurities, reduce inflammation and dry out acne.
It also contains minerals, in small quantities, like magnesium, iron, calcium and potassium, which accelerate the skin's healing process and regenerate new skin cells.
Added to this, cinnamon is a powerhouse of antioxidants which lighten, brighten and tone the skin cells.
Thank us later, and try this first. While cinnamon can bring about positive results, it is not suited for all skin types.
So, before using, make it a point to do a patch test first to eliminate any chances of side effects.
Now, here are 10 ingenious beauty hacks you must try using cinnamon.
Double Up As A Face Powder

Ran out of face powder, here is a beauty hack using cinnamon, you will thank us for.
Mix 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder with 3 teaspoons of cornstarch powder. Using 5 drops of almond oil, press it into your old compact. Voilà, your new face powder is ready to be used!
Tip: Tweak the content to get the required shade.
Acne Buster

Mix a tablespoon of cinnamon powder, with an equal quantity of honey. Apply a thin coat to your face, let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. Use this cinnamon face mask twice a week for that visible difference.
Goodbye Funky Breath

Stinky breath? You need this. Mix a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a glass of lukewarm water. Gargle with this solution. It will keep your breath minty fresh all day long!
Cleansing Scrub

Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of roughly ground cinnamon powder and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Apply the scrub on slightly damp skin and scrub it rigorously in a circular motion. Starting from your feet, work your way up towards your neck. Do this for 5 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Your skin will be silky smooth and radiant.
Foot Bath

Take a cup of lukewarm water, add 5 drops of lemon juice, 5 drops of lavender oil, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder. Soak your feet in the solution for 15 minutes and when the skin softens, scrub it with a boar bristled loofah!
Scalp Cleansing Mask

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in low flame for a minute. Allow it to cool. Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, 10 drops of almond oil, 10 drops of grape seed oil to the mixture and using a fork, whip it well. When the cinnamon hair mask is slightly warm, massage it to your scalp. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and then rinse it clean with a mild shampoo.
Lip Plumper

Antioxidants in cinnamon can make your lips turn instantly plump and red. Take a teaspoon of petroleum jelly and mix it with a pinch of cinnamon. Dab it onto your lips, and let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse it off.
Caution: Slight burning sensation is normal; however, if your lip starts burning too much, then rinse it off immediately.
Natural Bronzer

Mix fine cinnamon powder with baby powder, until you get your desired shade. Using a brush, apply as you do your regular bronzer for that golden tint.

Antibacterial properties of cinnamon can work wonders on insect bites and open wounds. All you need to do is sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the insect bite, and let the spice do its work.
