- Bandage: You would have noticed the bandage that your tattoo artist would tie on the tattoo, after he pricks it. Keeping this bandage on your tattoo until he advises to remove it plays a crucial role in protecting your wounded skin from bacteria and other skin allergies. Usually they suggest keeping the bandage for 4-6 hours, it"s always good to keep it until next morning, as this will grant the best care for your skin.
- Removal: Follow your tattoo expert"s advice. While you remove it make sure that you have cleaned your hand properly. Wash it well with hand wash and then start removing the bandage. Once it"s removed wash off your tattoo with soap and pat - dries it with soft paper towel.
- Applying Oil: Your tattoo artist would have suggested you to apply a particular oil on the tattoo, once it"s completely dry. So go ahead applying that oil on it. Continue this as per his guidance. One important thing that you have to take care while handling your tattoo is, not to treat your tattoo harshly, as harsh treatment can damage it.
- Sun Exposure & Loose Clothes: Although you want to flaunt your tattoo, be careful while you walk in the sun. Direct and heavy exposure to sun can damage your tattoo. Also make sure that you wear clothes which don"t cling to your tattoo, so wear loose clothes to avoid scouring of your dress on it. Remember that your skin is the canvas for your tattoo.
- Skin Allergies: Be very cautious with those skin allergies. Some of you might get those high inflammation, scabby skin, rashes and other skin infections. If you under go any kind of skin infections, be ready to walk straight to a skin doctor or your tattoo artist.
Now, walk on the streets with your head up and flaunting that stunning tattoo of yours. Tattoo after care is as important as getting a tattoo on you, as the opus is on your skin. So take care and display.
