Cucumber Face Pack Benefits For Acne-Prone Skin: 3 DIY Recipes
You're going to love cucumbers for a lot of reasons. Not only are they delicious and scrumptious, they're also good for your skin.
Besides being extremely beneficial for your health, cucumbers can also provide you with a lot of skin benefits.

Because cucumbers are cooling and refreshing, they can address a variety of concerns related to your skin, including hydration, redness, skin ageing, inflammation, and irritation [1][2].
The high water content in cucumbers soothes the skin, helps to keep it hydrated, acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, and reduces puffiness. It is also beneficial for oily skin [3]. The toner shrinks pores, resulting in less oil production.
Is Cucumber Beneficial For Acne?
As a natural remedy for acne scarring, cucumbers contain numerous vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, which are beneficial to the skin. Cucumber reduces the appearance of scars and reduces inflammation, thereby healing and soothing the skin [4].
Here are three ways in which cucumbers can be used to treat acne-prone skin:
Cucumber for acne-prone skin: How To Use?
1. Cucumber face mask
Ingredients: Cucumber
Directions
- Using a blender, puree half an unpeeled cucumber until it has the consistency of a watery paste.
- Using a strainer, separate the juice from any solid bits.
- After washing your face, apply cucumber juice to it.
- After applying the mask, allow it to sit on your skin for 15 minutes.
- Wash it off with cold water.

2. Cucumber, oatmeal, and honey face mask
Ingredients: Cucumber, oatmeal and honey.
Directions
- Puree half an unpeeled cucumber in a food processor or blender until it is the consistency of a watery paste.
- Using a strainer, separate the juice from any solid bits.
- In a small bowl, combine the cucumber juice, and 1 tablespoon of oatmeal.
- Stir until smooth.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey until well combined.
- Using your fingertips, apply the mixture to your face and neck.
- Let the mask sit on your skin for 15 minutes.
- Remove the mask with lukewarm water and pat your face dry.
3. Curd-cucumber face pack
Ingredients: Cucumber, curd
Directions
- Grate the cucumber to form a pulp.
- Mix the curd and cucumber pulp to make a paste.
- Spread the paste over your face.
- After 15 minutes, wash off with warm water.

Note: Cucumber can be extremely beneficial for those with irritated, acne-prone skin. However, it is always recommended that you conduct a patch test before using products on your skin.
