Healthy Junk For 'National Junk Food Day'

Junk Food Is Healthy
Surprisingly have you ever heard of anyone telling you that junk food ain't healthy? Yes, of course you have .When ever the topic of Junk is heard, words like 'calories', 'carbohydrates', 'fats', and the rest related comes up. It has nothing to do with terms like nutritious, minerals and proteins.

Junk food is always termed negatively, but Today we celebrate 'National Junk Food Day' , its time for all foodies to go out , bite into their favorite pastries, burgers, hotdogs, nachos, ice creams , pizzas and the works. Junk food has caused a great hindrance , especially to the younger generation and in turn it has caused a lot of health problems. Parents especially have no regard to junk food, they state that once in a while it can be eaten , but for those who are obese and on diets , its a strict ' NO' from dieticians.

On saying junk food being 'healthy' is something strange to your ears. But have you ever thought for a second that junk “Is" , for example if you order for a vegetable pizza , what do you think is the main ingredient , its 'veggies'. Something good right? It has all the proteins, minerals and iron in it, but still you categorize Pizza as 'Junk'.

If you are still wondering why its still classified as junk , think again! Pizza has veggies , good for health, every parent would agree, but have you noticed the amount of mayonnaise and cheese they add to it , thus helping you to increase in calories. Now you would not think about Junk Being “Healthy."

Like wise if you think about the favorite of the junkies list, the 'hamburgers' , you would notice that it is adorned with slices of meat that is rich in protein, lettuce and tomatoes are rich in other minerals and vitamins, but still placed under Junk Food, this is because the flour used is refined that contains a lot of calories and the ounces of butter and thick mayonnaise that gives your tongue a delightful feeling for the moment will cause a lot of health hazards later.

If one orders a pizza without the extra cheese topping, it may as well be called 'healthy". If a burger is consumed as a meal, it doesn"t cause much harm, as compared to being consumed as a snack.
Consuming Junk food once in a while is completely healthy, you have to be smart and practical to know that over indulging your favorite snack is bad.
