3 Simple Yoga Poses For Intimacy And Better Sex Life
There are numerous benefits to practicing yoga poses, including the relief of achy and inflamed muscles, as well as improving blood flow to the brain and promoting relaxation.
Practicing yoga has many benefits, including reducing stress and increasing strength, but did you know that it might also improve your complexion? If you practice yoga regularly, you may have noticed the benefits of exercise on your skin [1].

Yoga is not simply a set of postures you can use to maintain your physical fitness. Yoga has much more to offer than simply maintaining your physical fitness [2].
You can improve your sexual life with yoga in several ways - and before you get scared off by the difficult poses, let me tell you that it is actually fairly straightforward.
Is Yoga Beneficial To Your Sexual Life?
Among the major benefits of yoga is the reduction of stress - which is extremely beneficial when it comes to your sex life. Studies have indicated that the regular practice of yoga helps decrease cortisol levels in the body, reducing stress levels in the body.
Among the many negative effects of increased stress on the body is reduced sexual desire [3].
The practice of yoga can also improve sexual function. Yoga teaches you how to listen to your body, as well as how to control your mind.
Moreover, the combination of sex and yoga can help you gain insight into your likes and dislikes, allowing you to better communicate with your partner about what is important to you [4].
Yoga Poses For A Better Sex Life
Here are 3 easy yoga poses for better sex life [5][6].

1. Bridge Pose (Setu Bandha Sarvangasana)
In addition to rejuvenating your body, the bridge pose works to improve your sexual desire by energising and relaxing your body simultaneously.
- Lie flat on the floor, and if necessary, place a thickly folded blanket under your shoulders to protect your neck.
- Bend your knees and set your feet on the floor, heels as close to the hip bones as possible. Breathing out, pressing your inner feet and arms actively into the floor, push your tailbone upward toward the pubic bone, firming up the buttocks and lifting the buttocks off the floor.
- Keep your thighs and inner feet parallel. Clasp the hands below your pelvis and extend the arms to help you stay on top of your shoulders.
- Lift your buttocks until your thighs are about parallel to the floor.
- Keep your knees directly over the heels, but push them forward, away from the hips and lengthen the tailbone toward the back of the knees.
- Stay in the pose for anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- As you breathe out, release the pose, rolling the spine slowly down onto the floor.
2. One-Legged Pigeon (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana)
This one-legged pigeon pose is great for stretching and opening up your hips. Tight hips can make sex uncomfortable, as well as restrict your ability to try various sexual positions.
- Place yourself on all fours on the floor.
- Move your right leg in front of your body so that your lower leg forms a 90-degree angle with your body.
- On the floor, extend your left leg with the top of your foot facing down and your toes pointing backward.
- Inhale while leaning forward, shifting your weight with your arms. If this feels uncomfortable, fold up a blanket or pillow and place it under your right hip to keep your hips level.
- Repeat the process on the other side.
3. Child's Pose (Balasana)
Besides providing relief from stress and tension, yoga poses are also extremely beneficial for opening the hips and finding deep relaxation without the need for extreme flexibility.

- Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet tucked under, a bit more than hip-distance apart.
- Lean forward into the mat and stretch your arms out in front of you.
- Slowly inch forward until your forehead touches the mat.
- Breathe deeply and hold the pose.
On A Final Note...
Yoga will help you become more aware of the present moment, which is key to enhancing your sexual life. The more present you can become with your partner, the better the experience will be for both of you.
