The Spiritual Concept Of Many In Body And One In Mind
As the title suggests, many in body, one in mind, is indicative of a significantly profound mission that boasts unity of mission and facing any form of adversity as a single unit. This concept originally comes from a Buddhist philosophical doctrine that speaks of engendering a united spirit in order to achieve peace and lasting happiness in the world. As is evident from the title itself, it can be said that the doctrine was propounded to remind human kind of the innate potential embedded in each life and the role of humankind in ensuring peace and happiness for all.

In the following paragraphs, we discuss the scope of this immensely profound concept of many in body one in mind.
Nichiren Daishonin, a 13th century priest, an enlightened soul himself, explained the impregnable unity between the body and mind of a single individual. He went further to explain the sense of purpose and the wonders that can be tailored if people unite in mind. People are many in body, but if they are one in mind, the miracles that can be witnessed are beyond human comprehension.
The mind represents the spiritual aspect and the body represents the physical aspect. Thus, the concept of many in body one in mind emphasizes that when we realize the spiritual aspect, the physical aspect will attune itself to the purpose of mission. The mission here, as mentioned earlier, is none but the peace and happiness of humanity.
If we as human unite with a single minded resolve to ensure a new world order wherein respect and dignity for humankind takes precedence before anything else, the world will be a much better place to live in.
