A Sign From God

A man had been with other gurus for some time, yet had doubts if they were the right ones for him. One day he went to the temple to pray, "Give me,a sign, Oh, Lord, when the real guru appears. When he does appear, have him give me some flowers. Let that be the sign." He then heard of Swamiji's ( Swami Chinmayananda ) lectures and went to listen to him.

When at the end of the lecture, he went up to greet Swamiji, Swamiji took one of the.f1ower pots that was used to decorate the podium and handed it to him. With that, all doubts about having found the right teacher dissipated.
