Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Who Is The Chief Priest Of Ram Lalla In Ram Janmabhoomi Temple?
Ayodhya Ram Mandir: The birthplace of Lord Rama is associated with the ancient city of Ayodhya, which has been surrounded by controversy for a very long time. From disputes to riots and violence, this place has witnessed everything.
Be it the demolition of the Babri Masjid, the decision of the Supreme Court, or to reconstruction of the Ram Mandir or temple, the events have been etched in the pages of history forever. However, one thing that has remained unchanged is the faith of people in Lord Rama and their devotion towards him.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir will soon open for its devotees by early next year and therefore, let us know who is the chief priest of the temple, and all the details about him.
Who Is The Chief Priest Of Ayodhya Ram Mandir?
The chief priest of the disputed Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi is Acharya Satyendra Das, who has served this temple as a priest from 5 March 1992. When Babri Masjid was demolished by the mob and horrific riots sent chills across the nation, this fearless priest continued his worship and worked as a priest regularly.
Before becoming a priest, Acharya Das was a teacher and due to the turn of events, he became a priest. Let us know the story behind this. Das used to go to Ayodhya with his father since childhood. In those days i.e. in 1949, some Bairagis (those who are detached from materialistic pleasures) installed the statue of Ram Lalla at the disputed site. One of these Bairagis was Abhiram Das.
When Acharya Das came in contact with Abhiram, he was impressed and became interested in becoming a saint. But he also wanted to continue his studies. Respecting his sentiments, his father freed him from the duty of becoming a saint. Then he took the degree of Acharya and became a teacher. Later, he was appointed as a priest to perform puja at the site.
When Acharya Das was appointed as a priest, his salary was Rs 100 per month. But even this low salary did not make any difference to Das because he continued working as a teacher. Now his salary has been increased to Rs 13,000. His story of becoming a priest, a teacher, and then a priest of Ram Mandir is very humbling and quite inspiring.
