Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama or Shree Ram and the much-debated Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple is being built here. One Of The Important Sapta Puris
Ayodhya is considered one of the holy Sapta Puris. Apart from this, Mathura, Maya (Haridwar), Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika (Ujjayini) and Dwarka are included in the Holy Saptapuris. According to religious Puranas, Lord Vishnu had sent Brahma, Manu, Dev Shilpi Vishwakarma, and Maharishi Vashishtha to select the land for his Ramavatar. This place was selected by Maharishi Vashishtha on the banks of river Saryu and Lord Vishwakarma built this city. Being the birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya is considered to be the source of salvation and one of the major pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

History Of Ayodhya
The history of Ayodhya is described in the 5th canto of Valmiki Ramayana. In 6673 BC, one of the 10 sons of Vaivaswat Manu was Ikshvaku, later Dasharatha was also born in his family. King Dasharatha, who ruled Ayodhya, was the 63rd ruler of Ayodhya. According to ancient stories, Ayodhya was the very old capital of the Raghuvanshi kings. After this, after returning from exile, Lord Shri Ram took over the reign of this place and after him, his son Kush continued the tradition.

In the medieval period, this city remained under the rulers from the Mauryas to the Guptas and Kannauj. After this, Mahmud of Ghazni's nephew also established Turkish rule here. A so-called mosque was built here under the Mughal rule.

Architecture Of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
On August 5 this year, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and since then its construction work started. Soil brought from 2587 important religious places of the country will be used in the construction of the temple. The water of 150 rivers on its surface will be included in it.

Special "Shri Ram" bricks: To lay the foundation stone of the temple, sadhus from Tamil Nadu brought two special bricks of gold and silver with Shri Ram written on them. Along with this, the floor of the temple will be of white marble. This temple will be constructed only with stones, wood, and cement and no iron will be used in it.

In 1987, sculptor Chandrakant Sompura prepared the model of the Ram Temple. By modifying this model, the construction work of the temple is expected to be completed by the year 2024.

This temple structure is going to be a three-storey building. The idol of Lord Rama will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum on the lower floor. The total height of the temple will be 161 feet. There will be 5 main doors to enter the temple. There will be 106 pillars on each floor. Statues of various Hindu Gods and Goddesses will be carved on each of these pillars. It will be an octagonal-style temple in which along with the main temple of Shri Ram, there will also be temples of Mother Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, and Lord Ganesha.
