Anecdotes

Zen master, Bokuju was once telling his disciples, “All is perfect!"
An old man stood up and showed his hunch back, “What about me? I am a hunch back. What do you have to say?"
Bokuju replid, “I have never seen such a perfect hunchback in all my life!"
What is, is perfect as it is. The difference lies in the periphery. The centre, the essence is a perfect whole. When one's attention is centred, all the apparent imperfections disappear.
Osho says that we are all divine, we are already perfect and hence there is no need for improvement. Even the seeming imperfections are perfect, the way it is. For the one who is centred, there is no imperfection. Bokuju thus having his attention fixed in the centre does not find any imperfection even in the hunchback.
