Inborn tendencies pursue a person as an inheritance even in their following births says Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in His parables. A prince in his previous birth was a son of a washer-man. While involved in games with his friends he said : "Now I shall lie on my belly and you shall beat the clothes on my back as a washer-man does with a swishing sound".

The strongly embedded thought patterns take shape as actions that project themselves in the following births as well.
