Amarnath Yatra 2023: Schedule, Route, Fees, Age Limit, And Other Details
The registration process for the Amarnath Yatra will begin on 1 July 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir. The yatra will start on 1 July 2023 and end on 31 August 2023, mentions the government of the Union Territory. Devotees who are interested can register for the Amarnath Yatra 2023 on their official website www.jksasb.nic.in, and it can be done both in online and offline modes.
The duration of Amaranth yatra lasts for 62 days. There are 542 bank locations around the country giving access to the registration procedure for the pilgrims. It will commence from both routes- the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and Baltal in the Ganderbal district.
In Amarnath, the sacred cave is situated in the Ladar Valley that is mostly shrouded by glaciers and snow-capped mountains throughout the year. It is 141 kilometres from the city of Srinagar and is at a height of 12,756 feet above sea level.

As per the guidelines, any woman with a pregnancy of 6 weeks or more is not allowed to embark on this yatra. Individuals aged between 13-70 can register themselves for Amarnath Yatra 2023.
Amarnath Yatra 2023: First Batch
For devotees of Lord Shiva, Amarnath Yatra holds immense significance. It is like a dream come true for them, but not everyone can make it to this yatra. Amarnath Dham is situated in the beautiful plains of Jammu and Kashmir, for which devotees wait throughout the year. This journey is considered very exciting, in which the views of heaven on earth are visible, and there are also difficulties to be faced.
The pilgrimage to Amarnath starts every year in the month of June-July. The Amarnath Yatra of the year 2023 was inaugurated today by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha by showing the green flag. Significantly, a total of 3488 passengers left for the first batch from the Jammu base camp.

Amarnath Yatra Dates In 2023
The Yatra of Lord Amarnath will start on 1 July 2023. For this, the first batch of passengers left the Jammu base camp on 30th June. This religious journey will end on 31 August 2023. This year Shri Amarnathji's journey will be of about 62 days.
Amarnath Yatra 2023 Route: Where Does The Journey Start?
Devotees have two routes to complete the Amarnath Yatra, one via Pahalgam and the other via Baltal. Both these routes are connected to the main cities. But most of the devotees prefer to start their journey from Srinagar. This is because of its connectivity with the railway station, bus stand and Srinagar airport.
Amarnath Yatra 2023: How To Reach Pahalgam or Baltal From Srinagar?
How to reach Pahalgam from Srinagar: The distance between Srinagar and Pahalgam is 88 km and sharing cabs are available for the journey. It will take you approximately 2 hours and 18 minutes to complete this journey.
How to reach Baltal from Srinagar: The distance from Srinagar to Baltal is 95.2 km and direct taxis are available from here. You can cover this distance in about 3 hours 14 minutes.
Amarnath Yatra 2023 registration: Fees
Advance registration for the Amarnath yatra through designated Bank branches will levy fees of Rs 120. Also, if one does online registration, the fees will be Rs 220 per yatri. The fee for NRI pilgrim's registration will cost around Rs 1,520 per person through PNB.
Amarnath Yatra 2023: Steps To Register For Amarnath Yatra 2023
Step 1: Go to the official website of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) i.e. www.jksasb.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the 'Online Services' tab and click on 'Register' which will redirect to another page
Step 3: Enter all the required details and click on submit.
Step 4: Add a valid phone number and verify OTP received.
Step 5: Application processing details and SMS will be sent to the applicant
Step 6: Pay application fees and download Yatra Permit
