Importance Of Apology In A Relationship
The importance of an apology is immense. You have no idea how much it could mean to someone when you truly say that you are sorry. And the importance of apology in relationships is even greater. It does not matter even if you make the biggest mistake under the sun. If your partner loves you and if you were saying sorry in the right way, you can be forgiven.
On the contrary, if you do not value the importance of an apology, then you might end up making a good relationship sour. It is all about getting your priorities right. You have to understand that sometimes, saying sorry in the relationship can be the only right thing to do. The word 'sorry' is a very powerful word and should not be used cheaply.

So these are some things that you should know about the importance of apology in a relationship.
Say 'Sorry' When You Feel It
Use the word 'sorry' only when you truly feel it. A heartfelt apology can be made only when you feel sorry from within. And if you don't, you can never 'fake' a good enough apology.
Never Repeat The Mistakes
The importance of your apology will be in place only if you never repeat the mistake you made. Mistakes are made in every relationship. But if you say sorry and then repeat the mistake again, then you have just misused your apology.
Don't Say Sorry For Everything
Do not use an apology as a means to avoid confrontation. Some people have this attitude that it is better to say sorry and finish it off; who wants a full scale fight over the weekend. Your apology will carry weight only when it is used for serious issues. Otherwise, your partner will rate your apology very cheaply.
Don't Wait For Your Partner to Say Sorry
Sometimes, we wait for our partner to come and say sorry to us because 'he started the fight' or 'she was more at fault'. That is the wrong attitude to have. Say sorry freely when you think there is too much bad blood between the two of you. Apologising will not diminish your self-respect.
Don't Be Stingy With Your Sorry
Saying sorry does not cost any money, so do not be stingy with your sorry in a relationship. Say sorry if you think you have committed a mistake. Don't have weird rules rules like 'last time I said sorry, it's your turn to apologise'. Just say a big sorry and give your partner a bear hug.
The importance of an apology in any relationship is very great. Follow these 5 tips to understand when to apologise so that your relationship is healthy.
