Friendship That Turned To Love: Real Story
I had to struggle a lot to get into my dream career and I had to fight with my parents to get into Master's degree. Finally with my brother-in-law's help, I got admission in Mass communication and journalism course. In the beginning, it was very difficult for me to adjust to the new place with new people, since I was little uncomfortable to make friends.
When I was thinking so much, there came a blessing in disguise, as I got introduced to a boy who joined the course a week later. But this happened after sometime, as I didn't like that person when I met him for the first time. He was happy go lucky man types. Since I had no friends, I started crying out of depression. It was then, he (Kumar) came to me and gradually we both became close friends that people around started doubting our relationship.

It was later that I started liking his nature and started respected him, as a friend! Our relationship was purely based on friendship. This continued for two years. Later we finished our master's degree and came to Bangalore in search of a job. But by that time, my parents had started planning my marriage and I was not ready for it. I didn't want to marry a stranger. It was then one of my friends asked if I had any feelings for Kumar. Suddenly, I felt something within me that was never known! My friend asked me to reveal it immediately than delaying it further.
When I met him the next day, I was dull and as usual he was concerned about me and asked why I was dull. And all of sudden I proposed him for marriage. He was totally in shock and said that he never expected this from me. He told me to even forget such feelings and said that he is my best friend and will be the same for life. For which I replied saying, "I will never force you to love me. But once I got such feelings, we can't be friends in further and I can't pretend to hide my feelings for you."
He said, "Can't you understand my situation? I have lots of commitments. I have started my career just now and got to settle down in my life which may take few years. Till then I can't even think of marriage." For which I replied saying I can wait until he gets settled and I just need a Yes or No. Since he did not reply I asked him not to message or call me daily and if at all we met accidentally we will speak. And I just said bye and came back home.
Same night he messaged and called me many times, but I never picked the call. And after so many requests, I answered his call, he asked me to meet him. We fixed the place and met the next day.
He then came out with the answer saying he couldn't stay without speaking to me. He said that he will be happy to have me in his life, but he has lot of commitments and can't marry me immediately. He said those magical words, "I love you". I was very happy and we informed our families.
Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, everyone asked me what will I will gift my boyfriend? My reply was nothing since both aren't interested in celebrating Valentine's Day but we believe that every day is a Valentine's day. This is my real love story.
