Ideas to make your weekends romantic
Do you feel like the romance has gone out of your life? That you never do anything spontaneous with your partner anymore? There are a number of reasons, you find yourself growing increasingly distant from your partner. A number of things might get in your way, like job, kids, travel, family matters or lack of funds. Or you just might not have time for each other anymore.
So, its time for you to realize that you do not have to burn a hole through your pocket by planning an expensive romantic weekend. The lack of money should not deter you from spending some much needed alone time with your partner over the weekend. Here we bring you some ideas for a romantic weekend.

Candlelight Dinner
Clichés are clichés for a reason. Never underestimate this romantic favorite. Throw your apron on and cook your partner his or her favorite meal. If you can take part in the cooking, and turn it into a fun activity, especially since the kitchen might be a very exciting area for some couples. Do not forget to crack open a bottle of wine to add some class to your romantic night. Make a playlist of all the songs that are special to you, and maybe slow dance to them together.

Go Camping
Pick some spot around your locality where both of you can go camping together for a romantic outdoor weekend. Leave your laptops at home, switch off your phones and get ready for a weekend immersed in nature. Some quality time with your partner exploring and living without technology is exactly what you need to strengthen the bond you share. Have romantic meals around the campfire and stay up at night watching the stars for a memorable weekend away.

Blast from the Past
Go visit the place where you first met or proposed. Try to recreate your first date. A walk down memory lane will be just the thing to kick off a romantic weekend together. All the reminiscing will do you good as it will remind you of what made you fall in love in the first place.

Personal Spa
Instead of spending money at an expensive spa, why not make your home into your own personal spa? You can take turns with your partner in giving sensuous massages. You can also light scented candles in your bathroom and share a romantic bath together, complete with bubbles and bath salts. What a great way to spend a romantic weekend at home.

Go Exploring
Instead of planning a getaway to the tiniest detail, why not just hop in your car with your spouse, fill your petrol tank to the brim and just set off. Go where the wind blows you. Explore new places, try out new restaurants and find unexpected treasures. How is that for spontaneity?

Picnic at Sunset
Pack a picnic basket with wine, cheese, fresh fruits and your partner's favourite dessert and go for a sunset picnic. If there is a beach in your locality, go there for the picnic. Otherwise go to a nearby park or deserted hillside and have a romantic picnic, while watching the sunset.

No Technology
This is a fun idea for a romantic and inexpensive weekend. Switch off all the technology in your house, including computers, television and electronic appliances. Spend the day lounging in bed. At night, instead of switching on the lights, light candles throughout your house.

Inner Child
Unleash your inner child by taking your partner to a nearby amusement park. Get on all the rides, eat cotton candy and win a stuffed animal. This is a great way to have fun and reconnect with your partner, as well as yourself.
