How To Leave Your Boyfriend/Girlfriend When You Find True Love

We've all spent some time stuck in a relationship we didn't want to be in because we didn't have the heart to end it. Maybe we don't want to hurt someone we've been close to.
So what do you do when it's completely obvious you're just not meant to be together?, or when you realize that you have already found a new lover whom you feel as a true lover, you break up. Or, you try to break up, don't quite hit the mark, and end up sucked back into the awful relationship for round two, because you just couldn't make it stick.
Ending a relationship is not an easy thing for most people. We all stay, waiting for some catalyst to come along while we know that our life is slipping away, one day at a time. Each day that we could be spending doing something more creative with somebody. Well, we all have better things to do than waste any time in the wrong place with the wrong people.
Break it off -- once and for all
Is there a way to make it permanent without causing permanent damage?
The key is to have a plan, a good plan.
Explain to him/her why you don't want him/her
Make sure that you clearly communicate to your lover why things are over and why you do not want to get back together. It is hard enough for any one to get over you when he/she knows you no longer want him/her, imagine how much harder it is if they thinks that there's a chance. Tell it the way it is: the truth hurts, but hey, no pain no gain.
Let your new lover call your ex
Ruthless but effective? Let your new flame contact your old lover. This is an effective way to communicate to your ex lover that you are no more interested in him or her. This way of course harassing to your 'ex' and at the same time an effective way to get rid of him or her.
Don't send mixed signals
If you do not want to be with him/her, then say so- loud and clear. The last thing the poor lover needs is you wavering back and forth and toying with her emotions. Make sure that your friends know what page you are on as well, they should know in order to avoid mistakes. Loose lips sink ships.
