Avika Gor, best known as the young Anandi in the hit television series Balika Vadhu, has announced her engagement to long-time partner Milind Chandwani.
The news, shared on June 11 via an emotional Instagram post, marks a milestone in their five-year-long relationship. Describing the proposal as "filmy" and her "easiest yes," Avika and Milind's engagement ceremony has captured the hearts of fans nationwide.
Who Is Milind Chandwani?
Milind Chandwani, an alumnus of IIM‑Ahmedabad, met Avika back in 2019 at a party in Hyderabad. What began as a friendship gradually blossomed into a romantic relationship-a journey that balanced warmth and sensibility. Avika has shared that Milind friend‑zoned her initially for nearly six months. Eventually, her certainty and his thoughtful patience led to a deeper bond.
After completing his MBA from IIM‑Ahmedabad, Milind began his professional journey at Infosys. But his ambitions stretch beyond the corporate world. He is also the founder of the NGO Campus Diaries, which focuses on empowering underprivileged children-an initiative that underscores his dedication to social upliftment.
Some may recognize Milind as a former contestant on MTV Roadies Real Heroes in 2019, where his adventurous spirit shone through. His activism and social work, combined with his corporate experience and on-screen persona, paint a picture of a grounded yet dynamic partner.
A 'Filmy' Proposal To Remember
Avika's Instagram post describing the proposal created a vivid snapshot of the moment. She wrote, "He asked.. I smiled, I cried (in that order)... and screamed the easiest YES of my life! I'm full filmy-background score, slow‑mo dreams, mascara running and all." She went on to express how their personalities complement each other-her love for drama and his calm pragmatism.
Shortly after the engagement, Avika and Milind announced they would appear together in a reality show titled Pati Patni Aur Panga, set to explore their relationship dynamics onscreen. Their fans are excited to see how the couple navigates this next chapter, both personally and professionally.
Avika's Career: From Child Star To Leading Lady
Avika Gor's acting journey began with Balika Vadhu in 2008, earning her the Rajiv Gandhi Award in 2009 as a child prodigy. Since then, she has delivered memorable performances in shows like Sasural Simar Ka, and ventured into films such as 1920: Horrors of the Heart (2023) and Bloody Ishq (2024), most recently appearing in the Telugu thriller Shanmukha (2025). She continues to build a diverse and respected portfolio.
